Galway game on, star set to leave Ulster - Irish Cup off, but new date for derbies

Ulster's Pro14 game against Connacht in Galway is set to go ahead this Sunday.

All sporting activity is banned here for a week from Boxing Day, but elite level sport can continue in the Republic.

The inter-pro clash will be played behind closed doors at The Sportsground.

Unbeaten league leaders Ulster haven't won there for five years and back row Jordi Murphy says it's time for a change:

Meanwhile, Boxing Day also saw confirmation of a top player's departure:

The big Danske Bank Premiership Boxing Day derbies didn't take place this year on December 26th.

However, with the opening round of the Irish Cup postponed, they are back on - on January 9th.
