A mistake from Niall McGinn cost Northern Ireland as they were beaten 1-nil at home to Hungary.

His underhit backpass was cut out to allow the visitors to score the only goal of the game ten minutes into the second half.

Ian Baraclough made nine changes to the team that won in Luxembourg on Friday. 

Troy Parrott scored in the 97th minute as the Republic of Ireland beat Lithuania 1-nil.

The Tottenham forward struck with virtually the last kick of the game.

It came after Stephen Kenny's side had four goals ruled out for offside. 

Paddy Lane, a winger with Fleetwood Town, started the game at Windsor Park and played for just over an hour, when he was substituted for Leeds United's Stuart Dallas
