Ireland will head to Kingspan for the 5th-8th playoffs

France 21-0 Ireland

The Women's Rugby World Cup is over for Ireland after the hosts were beaten by France at the UCD Bowl in Dublin last night.

The French ran out to a 21-0 lead following a try from Romane Menager and a brace of scores from Caroline Ladagnous.

Ireland attempted to rally in the second half, however a stoppage time score from Cliodhna Moloney was too little, too late for the Girls in Green.

France have booked themselves a semi-final clash with defending champions and favourites England at Kingspan Stadium.

Meanwhile Ireland will also head to Kingspan for the 5-8th place playoffs.
