It was a big Sunday of local sport with success for Derry City, Linfield Ladies and the Tyrone women's Gaelic football team.

Derry beat Cobh Ramblers 3-1 in the EA Sports Cup final at the Brandywell.

It happened just days after councillors voted to rename the ground after the late club captain Ryan McBride.

Manager Kenny Shiels dedicated the victory to the 27-year-old who died suddenly last year.

Linfield Ladies just need a point from their last three matches to retain the Danske Bank Women's Premiership.

It's after the Blues chalked up a 9-0 victory away to bottom club, Portadown.

In GAA, the Tyrone women won the All-Ireland intermediate football title.

The Red Hands hammered Meath in the final at Croke Park.

The final score was six goals and eight points to 1-14.
