One further coronavirus related death has been recorded in Northern Ireland.

It brings the Department of Health's death toll to 2,147.

65 people have also tested positive for the virus since yesterday - out of 2,076 individuals tested.

62 people remain in local hospitals with covid - 6 of whom are in intensive care units.

Meanwhile,

Statistics released today from NISRA show that three coronavirus related deaths occurred in the week April 24-30 here.

The NISRA data provides a broader picture of the impact of Covid-19 than the death toll reported by Stormont’s Department of Health.

The Department’s statistics focus primarily on hospital deaths and only include people who have tested positive for the virus.

NISRA obtains its data from death certificates on which Covid-19 is recorded as a factor by a medical professional, regardless of where the death took place or whether the patient tested positive.
