Man injured in Lurgan gang attack

Two men have been attacked by a gang in Lurgan. 

Five men got out of a car in the Waring Street area and assaulted the victims just after 1am on Monday morning before fleeing the scene in a white Audi. 

One of those targeted sustained facial injuries and a broken ankle. 

Police are appealing for information. 


A PSNI spokesperson said: ''Police received a report just after 1am that two males had been assaulted.

''It was reported that car pulled up outside a property in the Waring Street area of the town and five males got out and attacked the pair before fleeing in a white Audi.

''One of the victims sustained facial injuries and a broken ankle during the incident, which police are treating as Grievous Bodily Harm.

''Anyone who witnessed this incident is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference number 1467 of the 04/05/21.''
