Warrenpoint travelled to Lurgan Celtic on Saturday as Championship leaders, and cemented their position with a convincing 6-2 away win.

Trailing to an early Hutchinson goal for Lurgan Celtic, the Point equalised through McMenamin and whilst the halftime score read 1-1, the second half proved to be a real goal fest.

McMenamin completed his double, as did McGuigan for Warrenpoint, with Lynch and a Ciaran Ryan own goal completing the Point scorers.

Lurgan Celtic defender Hutchinson scored with a late header to complete his double but Warrenpoint were worthy winners and on this showing looked genuine promotion candidates.
