A free 12 week golf programme has been organised by Fermanagh and Omagh District Council to encourage ladies over 18 years of age to get into golf.
The programme part of Sport Northern Ireland's Every Body Active 2020 programme will commence on Thursday 5th October.
Sessions will run at the Lough Erne Resort in Enniskillen from 6pm, lasting one hour and will be delivered by fully qualified instructors, as well as all essential equipment provided.
Speaking about the golf programme, the Chairman of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, Councillor Stephen McCann said:
"The Council is delighted to offer ladies the opportunity to participate in golf lessons with fully qualified instructors enabling them to try a new sport or develop and refine their skills on the golf course through expert coaching."
Sport Northern Ireland Chair George Lucas commented:
"Sport NI is delighted to be investing over £6 million of National Lottery funding in the 11 District Councils across Northern Ireland.
"By working on the delivery of Every Body Active 2020 we will begin to see real changes in sport and physical activity participation - especially amongst women and girls, people with disability and those in areas of greatest social need.
"We look forward to seeing the impact of our investment for people in our communities, helping them to enjoy, engage and excel in sport and leading to a population which is more active more often."
Participation on the programme is free, however places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
