Belfast's Michael Conlan says he has been 'Robbed' at the Rio Olympics.

He lost his Bantamweight Quarter Final against Russian boxer Vladimir Nikitin on a controversial judges decision.

The judges awarded the first round to Nikitin 10-9 in what appeared to be a dominant performance from Conlan.

Speaking after the fight the Northern Irish man said he 'boxed the ears off' his opponent.

Conlan also opened an existing wound on Nikitin.

The Belfast man was furious as he stood in the ring and says amateur boxing is part of the most corrupt organisation in the world.

"I came here for an Olympic medal and I feel I’ve been cheated out of that” said Conlan.

He referred to Katie Taylors defeat in the women's division yesterday and described how he felt he wouldn't be 'robbed like her'.

The Co.Wicklow woman fell to Finnish boxer Mira Potkonen yesterday.
