Holders Dungannon Swifts are through to the quarter-finals of the BetMcLean League Cup.

They had a 3-2 victory at the Q Radio Arena against Warrenpoint Town thanks to a strike from Seanan Clucas right at the end of extra time.

It gave former Glenavon coach Kris Lindsay his first win as Swifts boss.

Late goals were also needed in three of the other ties on Tuesday night.

Crusaders came from behind to beat Championship strugglers Ballinamallard 2-1 at Seaview.

A second goal from record scorer Joe Gormley gave Cliftonville a 3-2 home win over Carrick Rangers.

And Ballymena beat the Welders 1-0 at the Showgrounds.

Meanwhile, Ards eased through with a 4-1 victory away to Dergview.
