Warrenpoint Town have signed goalkeeper Aaron McCarey from Ross County.

The 26-year-old came up through the ranks of the Republic of Ireland youth system and was called into Martin O'Neill's senior squad for the friendly against Turkey in March.

He's previously had spells at the likes of Wolves, Portsmouth, Bury and Walsall.

Point boss, Stephen McDonnell said: “Personally, myself and Aaron go back to our underage playing days together with Dundalk SBL & international teams, so it’s great to be back working together again.

“He will certainly add huge experience to our panel.”

McDonnell's men will be aiming for their first points of the season on Friday night when league leaders Linfield visit the Q Radio Arena.
