Dungannon's Kris Meeke retired on Day 2 of the Tour of Corsica after crashing.

He set a blistering pace on the day’s opening stage, leading by over 17 seconds ahead of Volkswagen’s Andreas Mikkelsen.

However, the Citroën driver ended up crashing into a tree.

Meeke rejoined, but he says he's focusing on gaining experience for next year’s tour.
