The Danske Bank Premiership title race is set to go the distance - and a local sports star is backing Crusaders to win it on points!

Boxing hero Carl Frampton is a big Crues fan.

Last week's defeat to Linfield at Windsor Park cut their lead at the top to a single point.

But with just four games to play, Frampton believes the Shore Road men will hold on for an historic third successive title triumph.

The Crues have another big Belfast derby on Saturday - they make the short trip to Cliftonville.

Linfield go to Ballymena for a showdown with their old manager, David Jeffrey.

The Blues have been boosted by goalkeeper Roy Carroll signing a one-year contract extension.

The other top six match this weekend is third-placed Coleraine against Glenavon.

In Section B, Dungannon host Glentoran with both teams still in contention for a Europa League play-off spot.

After signing a new two-year contract, Colin Nixon has his first match as permanent Ards boss, away to Carrick Rangers.

The North Down side are eighth in the table, but even if they finish seventh they won't get a place in the play-offs as the club didn't apply for a UEFA licence.

Meanwhile,Portadown beat Ballinamallard one-nil last night to set back a probable relegation.

They would be relegated if Carrick win today.

All five matches on Saturday kick-off at 3pm.
