Linfield face the prospect of being knocked off the top of the Danske Bank Premiership this weekend - even though they have a 100 per cent record.

It's because the Blues and Crusaders take a break from Irish League action tomorrow to play Scottish opposition in the Irn-Bru Cup.

David Healy's men will be in Edinburgh to take on Lowland League side The Spartans while the Crues have Motherwell under-20s at Seaview.

Former Plymouth Argyle striker Louis Rooney hit a 10-minute hat-trick on his Linfield debut mid-week, but says with so much talent at Windsor there's no guarantee he'll be starting in Scotland...

With the Blues otherwise occupied, Coleraine or Glenavon could move to the Premiership summit - they have a second against third showdown at the Showgrounds tomorrow.

Here's Lurgan Blues striker Andrew Mitchell:

Mitchell was the Irish League's top scorer last season and after moving to Mourneview from Dungannon Swifts he's continued where he left off with a goal a game so far...

Glentoran put their unbeaten record on the line against Warrenpoint Town at the Oval.

Glens manager Gary Haveron says Matthew Tipton's team have impressed on their return to the top flight...

Meanwhile, the Glens have snapped up right-sided midfielder Eoghan McCawl after he left Scottish Premiership side St. Johnstone.

The 21-year-old from Annacloy in County Down spent most of last season on loan at Forfar Athletic as they won promotion to Scotland's League One.

Ards have a new recruit as well - they've signed full-back Reece Glendinning on a season-long loan from Linfield.

Colin Nixon's men aren't in action again until Tuesday night when they go to Carrick.

In the other matches tomorrow, Cliftonville and new signing Rory Donnelly are away to Ballymena with Dungannon hosting Ballinamallard.

All the Saturday matches kick-off at 3pm.
