Reds sink Crues to hit top spot as Blues crash to derby day defeat against Glens

Cliftonville are top of the Danske Bank Premiership following a 2-1 win at Crusaders.

Conor McMenamin struck twice as the Reds stormed back from a goal down. 

Linfield slip to second after they crashed to a 3-0 defeat against Glentoran in the Boxing Day derby at the Oval.

Hrvoje Plum grabbed two second half goals after Dutch winger Elvio van Overbeek opened the scoring early on...

 

 

The Glens move into the top four, three points behind the league leaders.

Meanwhile, third-placed Coleraine had a 2-0 home win against Ballymena, who were reduced to 10 men in the second half when keeper Jordan Williamson was dismissed for handling outside the area. Midfielder Declan Carville went into goals. 

Glenavon beat Dungannon 5-0 - veteran Swifts midfielder Terry Fitzpatrick seeing red for a second bookable offence on 34 minutes.

Warrenpoint won the basement battle at the Brandywell - 1-0 against Institute - and move to within a point of their relegation rivals. 

Larne and Carrick had a scoreless draw in the East Antrim derby at Inver Park.
