Linfield are through to the semi-finals of the BetMcLean League Cup after a last-gasp 2-1 victory over Portadown on Tuesday night.

The Blues needed an injury time goal from Jordan Stewart to finally see off the battling Championship side at Shamrock Park.

David Healy's men now travel to holders Dungannon Swifts in the last four next week.

Dungannon have crashed out of the Euro Electrix Mid-Ulster Cup, beaten 5-1 in Tuesday's semi by manager Kris Lindsay's old club Glenavon at Mourneview Park.

Former Portadown striker Vinny Arkins has joined the backroom staff at Newry City as forwards coach.
