Glentoran got back to winning ways in the Danske Bank Premiership on Saturday with a 1-0 victory against Ards.

Curtis Allen grabbed the goal in the first minute.

Glens manager Gary Haveron said after losing to Crusaders they were determined to get the points in Bangor.

There was controversy in the closing stages with both teams reduced to 10 men - Glens striker Robbie McDaid was dismissed for comments to the officials before Ards forward Jonny Frazer saw red for a foul.

His manager Colin Nixon was furious.

Cliftonville continued their recent revival with a 2-0 home win over Warrenpoint Town.

Jude Winchester and Chris Curran scored in the first half.

Dungannon Swifts fought back from a goal down to beat Ballymena 2-1 at Stangmore Park.

Leroy Millar opened the scoring, but the visitors had Willie Faulkner sent off for handling on the line in the second half, Paul McElroy equalised from the spot and Ryan Mayse hit the Swifts' winner.

Meanwhile, Crusaders beat Highland League Cove Rangers 3-0 in Forfar to reach the quarter-finals of the Irn-Bru Cup.

Michael Carvill, Jamie Glackin and Declan Caddell scored.

Linfield lost 1-0 to a stoppage time goal away to the cup holders Dundee United.

Here's the Blues boss David Healy.
