There has been one further Covid-19 related death in the past 24 hours.

Figures released today by the Department of Health also show that 1 thousand 3 hundred and 37 cases of the virus have been reported in the same period.

There are currently 190 patients with Covid-19 in hospitals in Northern Ireland, 16 of whom are currently in intensive care.

In total, 2,167 people have died in Northern Ireland as a result of Covid-19.

The latest figures come ahead of further discussions at Stormont about possible relaxations of rules over concerts and theatre re-openings.

Ministers will also consider whether to lift current restrictions on MoT test centres.

If the Executive agrees to those measures, it is understood they would come into effect immediately on Monday.

Ministers are due to receive updated health data ahead of their deliberations on Monday.

On Thursday next week, ministers are due to consider measures thought to be of higher risk.

These include lifting restrictions on indoor live music, including a proposal to end a requirement for the sound to be kept to an ambient level.

The resumption of conferences and exhibitions will also be considered.
