Detectives are appealing for information following the report of an assault on a man in the Queen Street area of Newtownards late on Thursday night.
It was reported at around 11.45pm the man had been assaulted by a group of up to six males, dressed in dark clothing and armed with weapons, at flats in the area.
The victims was taken to hospital following the assault and is receiving treatment for multiple injuries, including head wounds.
An investigation is underway and detectives are asking anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the Queen Street area on Thursday night, or anyone with any information which could assist with their enquiries, to contact them in Bangor on 101 quoting reference number 2201 14/10/21.
