Firefighters have attended the scene of a bonfire which was set alight this morning in Limavady.

Earlier this week the controversial pyre on the Greystone Road was labelled ‘an expression of hate’ by  local MLA caovhe Archibald.

A police spokesperson said they were currently making enquiries about the incident.

A spokesman said:

"At around 7.35am this morning, Saturday 10 July, a police patrol found that the bonfire had been set alight.

Enquiries are continuing".
