Dungannon Swifts captain Ryan Harpur is set to join Danske Bank Premiership leaders Ballymena United.

The Sky Blues say he's agreed terms and will move to the Showgrounds at the end of the season.

30-year-old midfielder Harpur led the Swifts to a League Cup final victory against Ballymena last season.

His former Dungannon teammate Ryan Mayse signed for United in the summer.

Their League Cup-winning manager Rodney McAree is now in charge at Coleraine.

Ballymena boss David Jeffrey told the club website: "Ryan is a player that Bryan and I have admired for some time, so we went through the proper procedures, spoke to Kris Lindsay and with Dungannon's permission and knowledge we are very pleased to confirm that we have agreed terms with him. Ryan is absolutely delighted to be joining Ballymena United."

Meanwhile, Newry City have signed striker Karl Moody from Malahide United in the Leinster League.
