Ballymena United have transfer-listed star striker Johnny McMurray.

It follows talks between the club and the former Cliftonville player.

Sky Blues boss David Jeffrey issued a statement saying over the past six months they have received a number of enquiries and verbal offers for McMurray.

The 24-year-old is now being linked with Larne and Linfield.

David Healy has previously been keen to bring him to Windsor Park but said at the weekend he felt McMurray is one of several unrealistic transfer targets....

The Linfield manager admits he's spoken to a number of players and expects movement in the January transfer window - with the prospect of new signings and other players going out on loan ...

The Belfast Blues currently top the Danske Bank Premiership table - a point ahead of former boss Jeffrey's side.

The teams meet in the Toals County Antrim Shield semi-finals on Tuesday and again in the league on Saturday, with both games at the Showgrounds.
