Reds go four clear and Inver honours even as Crues and Swifts make shock exits

Cliftonville have moved four points clear at the top of the Danske Bank Premiership with a 4-0 victory over Portadown.

Joe Gormley struck twice as the Reds secured their 10th home win in a row this season. 

It finished 1-1 between Larne and Glentoran.

John Herron put the home side in front against his former club, but Jay Donnelly equalised for the Glens.

There were mixed fortunes for teams from the third tier Premier Intermediate division in the Bet McLean League Cup. 

Linfield thrashed PSNI 11-0 in the last 16 of the competition while Dungannon Swifts crashed out 3-2 away to Limavady United.

So the League Cup quarter-final line-up for next Tuesday looks like this:

Crusaders also made a shock exit - in their case on penalties in the County Antrim Shield, at Ballyclare. 

The Comrades will go to holders Larne in the semi-finals on December 7th while Cliftonville have home advantage in the other last four tie against Linfield.
