Both called into the side for the World Cup Qualifier with the Czech Republic

Shrewsbury Town defender Ryan McGivern and Rochdale midfielder Matthew Lund have been drafted into Michael O'Neill's side ahead of the opening World Cup Qualifier.  The players have been brought in after Craig Cathcartt was ruled out of the side with a groin injury.

McGivern (26) has twenty three caps with his last appearance coming in the 2-0 Euro 2016 qualifier defeat to Romania in Bucharest in 2014.  Meanwhile, Lund (25) is as yet uncapped for Northern Ireland and is only the second time the midfielder as appeared in the squad.  His first such call-up was in the same qualifying game in Romania in 2014.

The game against the Czech Republic in Prague is on Sunday.
