Glenavon have crashed out of the Bet McLean League Cup after suffering a shock 1-0 defeat against Dergview.

Matthew Callaghan hit the winner for the Championship club at Mourneview Park.

There was extra-time for holders Dungannon Swifts who beat Limavady 2-1 and Glentoran who had a 3-2 victory against Larne.

Here's Glens striker Curtis Allen....

Meanwhile, the Glens have signed 24-year-old Scottish midfielder John Herron whose previous clubs included Celtic and Blackpool.

He's played for all the Scottish national teams up to under-21 level.

Also in the League Cup on Tuesday night, Harland and Wolff's tie against Portstewart was abandoned due to a serious injury for Welders player Dan McMurray.

And Andy Waterworth hit five goals for Linfield as they thrashed Moyola Park 8-0 at Windsor Park.
