Northern Ireland have boosted their hopes of qualifying for the European Championships with an impressive 6-0 victory in the Faroe Islands.

Lauren Wade and Simone Magill both scored twice with Rachel Furness and Kirsty McGuinness, on her return to the international fold, also on target.

Kenny Shiels' Green and White Army girls are now third in their group with five points from five games.

Also on Friday night, Derry City had a scoreless draw against St. Pat's at the Brandywell in the League of Ireland.

They stay sixth in the standings, ahead of the Dubliners on goal difference.

Meanwhile, the Candystripes have been drawn away to Sligo in the quarter-finals of the FAI Cup in November.

And Coleraine defender Aaron Canning has been transfer-listed.

The Bannsiders haven't given a reason for the decision.
