Donnelly sinks old club as holders set up quarter-final clash with Crues

Irish Cup holders Glentoran are through to the quarter-finals again this year after a 1-0 win over Cliftonville in Saturday night's second round tie at The Oval.

Rory Donnelly grabbed the winner against his former club, heading home from a Dale Gorman corner after the interval.

The Glens have again drawn north Belfast opposition in the last eight and will again have home advantage when they face Crusaders on Tuesday night.

Reds striker Michael McCrudden - a substitute at The Oval - has been named April’s Danske Bank Player of the Month by the NI Football Writers’ Association. Rory Donnelly had also been nominated for the award.
