Glentoran manager Ronnie McFall says he expects new striker Darren Murray to be a big hit at the Oval.

The Glens confirmed on Thursday night they've signed the 27-year-old, initially until the end of the season.

Murray recently left Portadown and previously had spells with clubs including Cliftonville and Crusaders.

McFall was his boss for almost four years at the Ports and has told DigiVibe Media he's a 'top player' - one of the best in the league....

Meanwhile, it's reported Shamrock Rovers have made a £60,000 bid for Cliftonville striker Joe Gormley.

Other reports claim there's been a bidding war with Crusaders - with the price going up to £75k!

There is also speculation of the Crues holding talks with Ballymena's Johnny McMurray.

There's one match in the Danske Premiership on Friday night with Glenavon facing Coleraine at Mourneview Park.

The Bannsiders confirmed on Thursday they've brought in winger Jamie Glackin from Crusaders on a two-and-a-half-year deal.
