Striker Kurtis Byrne is leaving Linfield after half a season at Windsor Park.

The 28-year-old Dubliner is joining Welsh Premier League champions TNS for an undisclosed fee.

The Blues say Byrne wants to move for family reasons and to return to full-time football.

Championship Middlesbrough have as expected completed the signing of Northern Ireland midfielder Paddy McNair from League One side Sunderland in a deal that could rise to more than £5m. The 23-year-old has agreed a four-year contract.
