US software firm creating 120 new jobs in Belfast

A US software firm is setting up a new engineering centre in Belfast,creating 120 new jobs.

ESO creates software products for the emergency services.

The roles will be recruited over the next 3 years, and will carry an average salary of around £40,000.

ESO was founded in 2004 and has multiple offices across the United States, including its headquarters in Austin, Texas; Dallas and Des Moines, Iowa. Its products include electronic health records, data analytics, asset management, scheduling, and fire incidents.

The company’s mission is to improve community health and safety through the power of data. It does this by delivering a broad range of powerful, award-winning software tools and products to meet the changing needs of today’s emergency medical services (EMS), fire departments and hospitals in North America.

Welcoming the company’s decision to set up in Northern Ireland, Invest Northern Ireland CEO Alastair Hamilton said:

“This investment by ESO to create 120 jobs is a welcome addition to our region’s thriving tech sector. ESO considered a number of potential locations for this investment and following an extensive evaluation, I am delighted that it chose Northern Ireland.

“The new jobs boast average salaries of nearly £40,000 and will contribute over £4.7million annually in additional salaries to the local economy.”

Invest NI has offered the company £780,000 towards creating the jobs over the next three years. The 120 highly skilled roles to be filled will be in the fields of software, engineering, HR, and operations.
