Nine new jobs for Coalisland after Dubai distribution deal

A Coalisland engineering firm has created nine new jobs after securing a £1m distribution deal in Dubai for its hi-tech lighting system.

Saturnled produces a system which transforms an existing lighting system into smart lighting.

The system can then be controlled through a smart device via Bluetooth.

Invest NI has offered the company £78,000 of assistance towards the new positions.

Ethna McNamee, Invest NI’s Western Regional Manager says it’s a great example of a successful indigenous company.

“Saturnled is making impressive developments in securing new export business, particularly in the UAE market.

“This deal is a reflection of Saturnled’s growing success and now gives the company a strong platform for further growth in this market,” she says.

All of the positions are already in place.

Mark O’Connor, CEO of Saturnled says the company as grown rapidly since 2013.

 “Our latest innovation, Easilite, has already had significant interest and we have agreed distribution agreements in, Dubai, Oman, Qatar and Bahrain as well as Europe.

“All of this would not have been possible without the support of Invest NI who has provided us with invaluable assistance, putting us in touch with key people in the UAE market and providing valuable in market advice,” he says.

And he adds: “We are excited for the possibilities for future growth and look forward to building on the strong business relationships we have made in Dubai to drive future success in this region.”
